Calendar 2010
This colourful calendar reproduces delightful photographs of destinations in our Landscapes and Walk&Eat series, including a new Walk & Eat title and new Landscapes editions being published in 2010. When downloaded onto your computer, the calendar can of course be viewed on your monitor but if you have a colour inkjet or laser printer you can print out a copy for your personal use (and, if you wish, copies for your friends). We think you'll be pleased with the reproduction as the quality of the photographs will be superior to most images you can download from the web. An inexpensive inkjet printer capable of printing at 600dpi or 720dpi will reproduce the photographs to an agreeably high standard.

You can print out the calendar at whatever size you wish. Using standard A4 paper you can print out the calendar at size up to11 x 5.25 inches (28 x 13cm) or if you are fortunate enough to possess an A3 printer, you can achieve a large wall calendar size up to 16 x 7.75 inches (41 x 19cm).

The principal UK public holidays are indicated on the calendar. To make it easier to view a planned holiday's duration on one page, the calendar panel for every month also shows up to a week of the preceding and following months. To help you plan your holiday, the destination illustrated for each month, is one that is a suitable choice for that time of the year. Space is provided by each date to enable you to write brief notes of holiday departure times etc.

Technical requirements for downloading

Your computer should be a 486 PC using Windows 95 or better, or a Macintosh running system 9 or OS X. Our download is in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format. To view or print it,you need to have Adobe Acrobat 3.0 Reader (or later) installed on your computer. Most software is nowadays supplied with a free copy of Acrobat Reader (for viewing manuals which are often supplied as .pdf documents rather than printed books), so it's highly likely you already possess Acrobat software. (But make sure it is version 3.0 or later; earlier versions will not open the calendar.)If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0, no problem -- you can download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader free of charge by clicking on this link to the Adobe site.

How to print the calendar
PC users: a PC will normally print the calendar to the maximum practicable size for the paper size you are using (set it to "fit to page" or "shrink to fit" depending on your printer driver). If you are using A4 paper but want a smaller calendar, you'll need to set your printer for a smaller page size.
Mac users: you have greater control over output size. Use "Page set up" to select a percentage reduction or enlargement -the smallest size we suggest would be 70%. A setting much in excess of 100% will require paper larger than A4. 150% is just right for A3/B3+ paper. Note that on the "Print" window, unless you want the largest size that will fit on the paper you are using, you will need to ensure the "Print to fit" option is not checked.(If it's checked, then irrespective of the percentage size you've inserted, Acrobat Reader prints to fit the size of paper you are using.) The best printed results will, of course, be achieved if you use premium or photo quality paper.
