Welcome to Sunflower Books, publishers of the ‘Landscapes’ Series of countryside guides and the Walk & Eat series (the latter combines a selection of walks with en route restaurant reviews, typical menus, even recipes for favourite regional dishes). The aim of the ‘Landscapes’ Series is to lure visitors away from the tourist centres and into the countryside. This series includes car tours and picnic suggestions, but walks - from short strolls to long hikes - are the key feature. For every Landscapes book, you can check out the contents page and index to see exactly what the book includes, PLUS you can download a complete walk in pdf form.
Our authors know their chosen landscapes intimately; many live in the area, others visit annually. They have written these books because they see the beauty and interest in these regions and want to share it with you.
Many of our chosen landscapes are still developing. Rapidly changing infrastructure means that we publish new editions every 2-3 years. Meanwhile you can rely on our unique free online update service. We know of no other guides for which such detailed route instruction changes are uploaded on a daily basis.
