We would recommend Jana's guided walks ( Listed at Poumades taverna in Lakka ). Jana is Czech girl ( with excellent English) who has lived on the island for 5 years and has a wealth of knowledge. She does 2-3 1/2 day walks a week, for 15 euros including pick/up/drop from all over the island. Walks range from very short, with her donkey Sokrates, to a longer walk along the west coast . She also clears footpaths for the local council in winter. Highly recommended. (User, 10/09)
Walk 1: Pg 30: The wide dusty track from Ozias to Moggonissi (mentioned in the paragraph before the last) is now a tarmac road. (User, 11/08)
Walks 5 & 7: These can be easily combined, walk no 7 being done in reverse to that described in the book, by making a side trip to Ipapanti and continuing to Vassiliatika and then to Dalietatika, Plani, Missorachi and finally Lakka. (User, 11/08)
Walk 6: pg51: Second paragraph: The wide descending track down to Monadentri Beach is now a tarmac road. (User, 11/08)
Walk 8: Pg63: Second paragraph: If the path from BAR BELLA VISTA to Voutoumi Bay is gated, descend by the fencing (on the left of the gate) until you meet the concrete stairway. (User, 11/08)
